From patient to junior studying Korean medicine! Last year, a high school senior preparing for college entrance exams visited our Korean medicine clinic and received treatment, managing their condition with herbal medicine for students and Gongjindan. Even when they struggled with a cold a few days before the Suneung (College Scholastic Ability Test), thanks to Korean herbal cold medicine, they were able to take the Suneung successfully, and were admitted to a Korean medicine university.

Later, when their mother came to express her gratitude, I was overjoyed as if it were my own achievement. Recently, that student, now a Korean medicine university student, contacted me for an interview assignment with a Korean medicine doctor, and I gladly agreed to the interview. I felt touched and proud to see a patient who once listened to my explanations in the consultation room now become a junior colleague studying Korean medicine.

The small treatments and encouragement I offered I felt grateful for the fact that I could positively influence someone’s career path and life, and through the interview, I conveyed the advantages and prospects of Korean medicine, along with heartfelt advice. Now, feeling a sense of reassurance and gratitude as if a colleague walking the same path has emerged, I hope that more such warm connections will form in the future, and that I can remain a Korean medicine doctor who gives positive energy to others for a long time.
