October Research Activities – Introduction to October Research and Educational Activities: Lecture on ‘Acupointology’ at Dongguk University College of Korean Medicine. Dr. Hyocheong Chae, Director of Sunyujae Korean Medicine Clinic, is currently lecturing on ‘Acupointology’ in the main course at Dongguk University College of Korean Medicine during the second semester of the 2025 academic year.

While Korean medicine has traditional roots, it must advance further through modern medical verification and scientific research. Among these, acupotomy treatment has been utilized in long clinical experience, but research to scientifically elucidate its effects and mechanisms is still needed.

Suji-gu Sunyujae Korean Medicine Clinic – Chae Won – The study titled ‘Korean Medicine Treatment Response, Including Acupotomy, in Patients with Cognitive Impairment in Primary Care: A Multicenter Registry Study Protocol’ has been published in the international academic journal ‘World Journal of Clinical Cases’.

Acupotomy Hands-on Training Committee Member – Sunyujae Korean Medicine Clinic – At the International Industrial Expo of Korean Medicine and Integrative Medicine (K-MEX 2025) held at COEX in June, Dr. Hyocheong Chae, Director of Sunyujae Korean Medicine Clinic, conducted a practical lecture on acupotomy treatment.

Today, I’d like to share the content of an interview I recently conducted with the Korean Society of Integrative Korean Medicine.

May NEWS – From patient to junior studying Korean medicine! Last year, a high school senior preparing for exams visited our Korean medicine clinic and managed their condition with herbal medicine for students preparing for exams and Gongjindan. Even when they struggled with a cold just days before the Suneung (college entrance exam), Korean medicine cold remedies helped them successfully take the exam, and they were admitted to a Korean medicine university.

Acupotomy – Post-surgical pain and joint adhesion, is there no way to resolve them? Many people experience unexpected problems during the post-surgical recovery process. After-effects such as prolonged pain, joint stiffness, and difficulty moving can make returning to daily life challenging.

Highlights of 2024 at Sunyujae. – In 2024, thanks to the many people who trusted and visited Sunyujae Korean Medicine Clinic, the Sunyujae staff were able to put even more effort into their treatments. We sincerely thank everyone who cherished and loved Sunyujae.

Research Activities – Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Mild Cognitive Impairment refers to a state where cognitive function, especially memory, has declined when compared to the same age group. However, the ability to perform daily activities is preserved, meaning it is not yet diagnosed as dementia.

A Researching Korean Medicine Doctor, Invited Presentation – We bring you news of our research and academic activities. I have served as both Planning Director and Academic Editorial Director at the Korean Society of Acupotomy Medicine, and continue to actively research for the advancement of Korean medicine.
